The Palazzo del Magnifico was the residence of Pandolfo Petrucci, a shrewd and intelligent man who became a sort of “lord of the city” for Siena from 1487 to 1512 and who earned him the title of “the Magnificent”, for his work of pacification among the city factions inspired by the figure of Lorenzo the Magnificent.
